Working Principle of the Pneumatic Tube Union

The working principle of the pneumatic tube union is to inflate a ring-shaped pneumatic tube, causing it to expand and grip the central tube inserted inside, thus achieving a quick connection and reliable seal of the pipeline. When disassembly is required, the pneumatic tube is deflated, and it returns to its original diameter within 1-4 seconds, allowing the central tube to be freely pulled out for quick disassembly.

 

The recovery time after deflation is typically 1-4 seconds. To ensure a reliable seal, the inflation pressure of the pneumatic tube generally needs to be higher than the fluid pressure inside the pipeline, with a reference value of 0.4~0.8 MPa or 0.3 MPa higher than the pipeline pressure.

 

For smooth installation and to protect the pneumatic tube, both ends of the central tube inserted into the pneumatic tube should be chamfered at approximately 15 degrees, and the tube surface should be smooth, free of burrs and dents. Before inserting the central tube into the pneumatic tube, it must be ensured that the pneumatic tube has been completely deflated.
