Pneumatic Tube Union Installation Method

1. Weld the steel shell of the pneumatic tube union to the outlet hole of the container or mud tank, or weld the steel shell to the end of a steel pipe of the corresponding diameter, with the air nozzle facing upwards.

2. After welding, install the pneumatic tube into the steel shell.

When removing or installing the pneumatic tube, take care to protect the air nozzle to prevent affecting its use.

To protect the pneumatic tube, both ends of the steel pipe should have a 15-degree chamfer, and the surface of the steel pipe should be smooth without burrs or pits. Before inserting the steel pipe into the pneumatic tube, the pneumatic tube should be completely deflated; otherwise, the central tube cannot be inserted.

3. Insert both ends of the central tube into the pneumatic tube holes of the left and right pneumatic tube unions, respectively.

Inflation can be achieved using a double-tube air pump with a booster cylinder and an inflation nozzle. Compressed air can also be used for inflation if a compatible compressed air source is available.

4. Inflate the inner tube of the pneumatic tube union to the specified pressure through the air nozzle.

After inflating or deflating, the valve guard should be put on to prevent damage to the valve. To ensure a reliable seal, the inflation pressure of the tire can be 0.3 MPa higher than the pipeline pressure.
